Prepayment RewardsWhen you pre-pay for a service (or over-pay by mistake), the provider of that service benefits because they get the use of your money before the the service is used. Unlike most service and utility providers (for example: telephone, cable, power, other ISPs, etc.), we think the customer should benefit too. After all, it's your money! The fairest and most straight forward way to do this is to pay you interest each month that your account has a credit balance.So that's what we do. Each month that your account has a credit on it you will earn a percentage of that as interest in the form of rewards. Rewards can be used to pay for subsequent services, or they can be saved up and used to pay for merchandise. The following chart shows how this works:
In this example, the customer has selected a package that costs $19.95 per month, and they have pre-paid for 12 months of service. After the first billing period, they earn $4.39 interest in the form of rewards. The following month they they earn $3.99 interest and so on. After 12 months of service they finally have used up all their credit, but they have $26.34 in rewards. In all, they have earned approximately 11% on their initial payment! Note that the example above assumes that the account will incur no extra charges (like extra disk space or bandwidth) during the 12 month period, as these would cause the credit to be used up more quickly. | |
