General Setup
- Go to the Apple Menu, select Contol Panels, and click once on the PPP or
Remote Access Control Panel
- Click on Options and make sure you select the Protocol tab
- Make sure the check is not in the "Connect to command-line host:"
option
- Click on "OK" to return to the main screen
- On the "Number" line, type in the number appropriate to your local area.
- Connection should show as "Connect via Modem" and "Connection" should be
marked as "Registered User". For Name" fill in your login followed by "%ppp".
(if your e-mail is user@islandnet.com your login is user). Next fill in your
password in the "Password" box. If you like click on save password.
- Click on the "Connect" button to connect to Islandnet. After some final
negotiation, you should be connected and able to use any internet software you
wish!
- To Disconnect, return to the PPP control panel and click on the
"Disconnect" button.
